Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Accountant to work in Downtown Los Angeles. The position involves reconciliations, journal entries, monthly bank reconciliations, and preparation of audit roll forward schedules.
What you'll do
- Initiate preparation of journal entries for monthly and yearly financial statements
- Manage monthly reconciliation and maintenance of lease schedules
- Support Billing department with input of journal entries as necessary
- Provide back-up support for daily cash report and cash log
- Responsible for preparation of audit roll forward schedules
- Collaborate with appropriate departments to resolve discrepancies
What it takes
- Four (4) year degree in accounting and at least two (2) years in general accounting
- At least six (6) years of general accounting experience including journal entry preparation and account reconciliation
- Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Intermediate Excel skills required
- At least one year of direct experience working with ERP systems
- Reliable means of transportation for onsite and offsite work within Los Angeles County
