The role
The Accountant is responsible for managing and supervising accounting, tax, and treasury activities of the HI-Peru program, ensuring timely, accurate, and appropriate recording of economic transactions, and compliance with HI global policies, procedures, and standards.
What you'll do
- Supervise and report to senior management and functional supervisor on accounting and cash risks, and contribute to their mitigation
- Ensure compliance with tax and legal obligations, and produce required financial documents
- Process local and international program accounting
- Manage treasury and advances
- Archive and safeguard financial documentation
- Support HR administrative processes
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting department
- Minimum 1 year of experience in international cooperation projects
- Experience with SIOVIS software
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with accounting software
- Experience working with international NGOs
- Written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English/French
