ShelterBox is seeking an external consultant to facilitate Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) mechanisms for the Venezuela Earthquake Response 2026.
What you'll do
- Facilitate Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) mechanisms
- Ensure affected population and project participants understand their rights and entitlements
- Design, establish and manage an accessible Feedback and Complaints Response Mechanism (FCRM)
- Develop and implement procedures for the identification, escalation, and confidential management of safeguarding, fraud, and other sensitive complaints
- Map relevant referral pathways and service providers
- Support community mobilisation for monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities
What it takes
- Demonstrated experience in AAP within humanitarian responses
- Experience designing and managing FCRM
- Experience delivering PSEA awareness and training activities
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, survivor-centred approaches, and confidentiality principles
- Experience with community engagement and participatory approaches
- Knowledge of Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) commitments and humanitarian accountability frameworks
