A week of hundreds of climate events across New York timed with the UN General Assembly, from big summits to free side events. Its many open receptions and panels make it one of the busiest networking weeks for climate careers.

Who's hiring in the United States

1,366 open Policy & Advocacy or Leadership & Executive roles in the United States on ForGood. These organizations are hiring for the kind of work this event covers, so they are good people to look for there.

Make it count

• Look through the organizations hiring in your field before you go, and pick a handful you most want to meet.
• Go to sessions where those organizations are speaking, and ask a question. Speakers remember the people who ask.
• Follow up within two days of meeting someone. A short note that mentions what you talked about is enough.
• Many events have discounted or volunteer places for students and people between jobs. Check the official site.
